What we test

Cardiovascular risk

Your cholesterol came back normal. That is not the same as fine.

A standard cholesterol panel counts how much fat is in your blood. It does not count how many particles are carrying it, and it is the particle count that lodges in an artery wall. This is why people with reassuring results still have events, and why a family history that keeps repeating itself is worth taking seriously even when the last test looked clean.

What we measure

Measured, then read by a person.

We measure ApoB and lipoprotein(a) alongside the standard lipids, so the result reflects arterial risk rather than a partial picture of it. Lp(a) is largely genetic and usually needs measuring only once — your practitioner will say whether yours is a case for repeating it. Your practitioner interprets both against your history and tells you what they mean for you.

Standard cholesterol panels miss a meaningful share of risk. Particle count and lipoprotein(a) give a clearer picture of arterial risk.
